Therese McGee will serve as a third grade teacher at the Underwood Hills Focus School. Miss McGee is a graduate of the University of Nebraska at Omaha. She has a B.S. in Elementary Education and a M.S. in Elementary Education with a Middle School Endorsement.
Miss McGee began her teaching career as a substitute teacher in the Omaha area schools. Miss McGee began teaching full time in 1984 at St. Ann’s Catholic School followed by teaching positions at St. Richard’s and Holy Name Catholic Schools
In 1991 Miss McGee began her career with the Omaha Public Schools with a teaching position at Belvedere Academy. Miss McGee taught both grades 5 and then grade 3 while on the Belvedere Academy staff. Miss McGee also taught for 10 years at Masters School, in both combination (4-5, 1-2) and traditional (2) classroom settings.
While teaching in the Omaha Public Schools Miss McGee has served on numerous committees including the Report Card Revision Committee, the Reading Pilot, 6-trait Writing/Training the Trainers, TESA, S.S.D.S., and the school-wide Reading Program at Masters School.
Miss McGee encourages and guides her students to reach their full potential.
